That seems to say it all. President Obama pulled out yet another unexpected victory yesterday against a powerful opponent. From his hometown political enemies, to the big leagues against Hilary Clinton and the team of John McCain and Sarah Palin, Obama continues to succeed against the betting odds. If anyone doubted his ability to lead - to be presidential, yesterdays health care vote should put to rest any remaining doubts. This latest victory succeeded despite a united array of the Republican party, the Tea Party and the right wing media. Only weeks ago Obama was counted out, his health care proposal itself on life support, only to rise and chart a safe path through the middle of yet another political minefield.
Now the Republicans in Washington must decide if it is politically wise to continue to oppose Obama at all cost - to continue to be the Party of No against a opponent who seems to have the ability to drain the three pointer at the buzzer.
